He would probably be money ahead just to buy a new scope. I was thinking a new Weaver 6x @ $150.

I have had a couple of Denver Redfield scopes rebuilt by Iron Sight, Inc., and they did quality work, but the wait time was over 12 months. If you're not in a hurry, I highly recommend that you consider Iron Sight, Inc. There is another place that might be worth looking into, ABO USA in Miami, FL. They haven't done any work for me and I have read both good and bad reviews on the 'net, so I am not personally recommending them to anyone. www.abousainc.com or 305-859-2010(?) or 305-232-7359

Iron Sight fixed a few for me, did good work. It used be 85.00 to work on scopes.

I've seen reviews on both. They seem a bit mixed. Some good, some bad. Has anyone used Parsons?

I sent one in for cleaning and purging, in the end it would have been cheaper to buy a new one.

Sent Dad's 2 3/4 Redfield to ABO that was foggy from a mold on the inner lenses.Scope is clearer than several 3X Leupy's,and that's saying something.Gotta be at least 10yrs ago that I sent it.

True, that's why I had it done. It was the scope on my first rifle which was given to me on my 17th birthday. A brand new model 70 in .270. I was hoping the clean up would bring it back to life, but with the optics available today I guess I've set higher standards on quality optics but then my eye sight is not what it used to be. Still have it for sentimental reasons.

I couldn't find it yesterday, maybe they have. They had the instructions for the accutrac models on their site.
