Have one with lots of holes, trying to figure out what the mounts were. Loggah bet lightfoot could design one for a 71 similar to his 99 mount.GW

Another late comment post, from a few years later.....

The best and strongest optical mount seen is one that
is really good for older tired eyes.

It came on a 1950s short tang standard rifle. The mount
is the WEATHER-MATIC made in Detroit.
It is pretty tough, returns to zero-and rotates the mounted scope out of the way on cycling the empty case
and chambering a new round. This rifle's rig came with a 2.5 X power Lyman Alaskan. The iron Marble's 95 rear
iron sight was affixed under the scope and mount, offering
two sighting systems-scope and backup. Very neat and professional.
Has slain deer, so it works. Adds a couple lbs to the rifle, but so what........

The scope was worth HALF of the asking price.............
