I agree 100%, however that is not the way they see it and their looking to save face.

Assange is in hiding somewhere, and because he's technically a "publisher" he'll be protected from the long arm of the law.

I'm wondering what they're going to charge him with ? He's not an American , didn't steal the information , and is acting like what the NYT , WaPo , and the rest of the MSN should be by exposing corruption and extra-constitutional activities of our government. Without the whistle blowers and Wikileaks we would have no idea how far gone down the road to a police state we've gone.

That makes sense in a disappointing way.

That seems to be the pattern.

I don't think liking him has anything to do with it. Those of us who preferred other candidates got on board with the nominee because the alternative was unacceptable. Now that he's the president, we'll support him where we think he's doing good. As far as the other times, I personally am going to have a little more patience and see how things play out over the next few months before totally condemning the man.

That doesn't mean that I am not concerned about some of the things you have brought up. It also doesn't mean that I like him more now that he has changed as you imply. It just means that I am going to watch how things play out in the near future before passing final judgment. It's only been 3 months.

Whats disappointing is you jumping ship on your guy who was the savior the greatest thing since sliced bread...predictable though

Hardly, but we want what you gave us to work out. In 3 years, he'll either be reelected or we'll get a Democrat. Those of us that remember what conservatism is will be dead before a conservative has an opportunity to be POTUS. I hope President Trump does great things, but thus far he hasn't done anything different than Romney or Christie. But it's early yet.

Assange served his useful lifespan and I'm glad he did but any further revelations won't be helpful.

I voted for Trump in part because he wasn't an insider. If anyone has been bitten by anonymous leaks it's been Trump post election. Leaking must be disincentivized and trust the outsider to take care of sensitive matters quietly.

Nope, but that's the only thing that would save it, and "hard" is not a good term. Conservative is just conservative. Nothing more, nothing less. You either are, or you ain't, (and I know you are) and we will always be out here.

Trump was elected President because the media promoted him. He was Clinton's best chance of winning, but even Trump couldn't lose to her.

That said, I have no major problems with him as long as he continues with good Supreme Court picks. Look at the alternative.
