I am currently looking to possibly purchase a BSA CF2 Stutzen rifle. It has a full length Mannlicher style stock, with rose wood schnable tip, and pistol grip cap. It has obviously been used, with a couple small freckles of rust on the barrel, and some shallow dings in the stock. It is equipped with a Simmons 3x9 scope mounted on high see thru type rings.

Rifle appears well made, with very nice balance, which I think could be improved with a smaller lighter scope in lower rings.

Asking price is $700 which seems high to me considering it is a well cared for, but not at all pristine rifle with a scope and mounts I would have to replace, however I am unsure as it is hard to find any pricing info on this gun that Rifles of the World state was only produced between 1982 and 1986.

I have been wanting a full length stock rifle, just not sure if this is right for me.

Looking for anyone here who has had any experience with this type of rifle, or with the BSA brand at all, hard to find much info on them, as well as general thought.

I had one in 30-06. It was well made. And heavy. It's gone but it was a good rifle as I recall.
They were closed out about 20-25 years ago when BSA shut down gun manufacturing.

$700 seems a little high to me, but I haven't looked into that market at all.

You should be able to buy it for about $200.00 without the Simmons scope.

Gun Star lists a used one in .243 for 345 pounds (I think that is what that L-type thaingy is), whatever that conversion works out to in dollars. (345L to $444.57.)

Simmons scope is worth squat to me. Well, maybe $50 for a high end one.

If Huntz is correct, maybe that thaingy was supposed to represent USD?

Herter sold rifles and barreled actions made by BSA - a LOT of them back then - I think they labeled those as Herter U9. If you want a Mannlicher style full stock on that rifle, it might be more cost effective to find a BSA/Herter rifle and fit/finish the stock yourself. Interesting - am thinking I've not seen a full-length Mannilicher style stock with a Schnabel tip - would like to see one.

Had one in the late 80's, a decent rifle comparable to the same time frame Remington 700's. Winchester Model 70 and the Interarms Mark X. Don't see them making the $$ that the others can. A Full Stocked version would be rare.

I love the look of full length stocks and the BSA action should be a good one. But it sounds like the styling is dated with those rosewood accents. Unless very well done they don't indicate added value. It sounds high to me but the full length stock is the unknown, I don't know how hard it would be to find an alternative stocked like that.
