Any suggestions on a digital camera with 24x ish zoom that is under $350. I want it to take video as well. I will mainly be taking pictures of my kids doing sports and also take to the woods of Georgia and take photos of live and dead animals. I've seen and read positive reviews of a Panasonic LUMIX FZ200

I'm not looking to be a world renowned photographer, just take pics to have memories for my kids and family.

Any advice would be great!

Thanks,

The best Lumix cameras have Leica lenses. Read the lens maker id on the ring surrounding the front lens element. The non-Leica lenses are very good, but the Leica are better. I'm not sure there are any "superzooms" left that don't take video.
Don't include "digital zoom" in your desired zoom range. It's just a spin on cropping, and those small sensors don't need to be any smaller.
