Bought a Montana second-hand and it was giving me fits (probably why the person gladly sold it to me). 2 shots could do no better than 1.5 - 2", even with 155 Scenars. Scope adjustments with known-to-be-good scopes were not tracking. Talley aluminum rings/bases appeared ok and were not bottoming out on anything. When I removed them, it looked like someone had tried to bed the scope bases with hot glue. Warne steel bases and rings definitely solved that problem as verified with the Scenars. Question is - I see a lot of these Talley aluminum bases/rings on Montanas. Did Kimber install at the factory with the hot glue?

No, Kimbers do not come with any rings. That was the previous owner.
Enough already, just shoot it!

Kimber has never offered Talley Lightweights with a rifle.
