My younger brother just bought a stainless Marlin lever action, but in .410 the guy who sold it to him said it was kind of unique.

Im not really a lever guy but this thing was kind of cool, but am curious about why it was ever made. Have any of you gentlemen heard of these?

yep. winchester 94 also in 410 and savage made a 410 barrel for takedowns 99's.
they have been around for a while but not plentyful. the marlin and the winchester are repeaters while the savage is a single shot. they made em to sell, and mostly they didn't.

They would be good garden guns. Keep out the rabbits and crows.

Marlin has been making them, off and on, for a long time. They made some back in the '30s for sales reps, and as jobber giveaways, according to an article I read in an old Gun Digest.

I'd like a lever action. 410. They are also legal for deer with slugs. I've taken quite a few deer with .410s.

An unemployed Jester, is nobody's Fool.

the only real difference between a good tracker and a bad tracker, is observation. all the same data is present for both. The rest, is understanding what you're seeing.
