Went down to check on the boats this morning as it stormed . All hell had broken loose in the harbor across from mine. Big deal in out small town. Not my pics as I had left my phone at home, but plenty were flying around via text when I got home. It was going pretty good though when I was down there. 3 boats burned, cause unknown but when sent it from boat to boat. Makes you sick to see.

That's very bad. Hope those guys can recoup. What boats were affected?

That's terrible, especially right at the beginning of the commercial season.

If it's any solace, a fire at the dock beats the heck out of a fire at sea.

The boat in blue was getting towed out so they could fight the fire at the float plane dock. It was quite the blaze on only so many hoses could make it down the dock.

Two where seiners, one was a tender. It could have really bad if they hand not gotten the other boats around them out of there. They are packed in tight and the wind was blowing hard. I'll post more pics as they pop up.

I was just there a couple days ago checking out Ruth Ann's post fire and now this. What a shame but thank God there was no loss of life.

Lots of btu there, takes lots of water.

Is there a weight limit to the hoses on the dock? Or just only so many hoses available? Never fought a boat fire. Have been in big ship simulations down in engine rooms with fires all over to put out, but never an actual boat or ship fire.

Thats a shame, most fires are a shame.

Hope all crews are accounted for and not like the Investor

Fire on a boat is the worst thing I can think of.
Had one on a buddy's boat, due to his being too cheap to buy a battery box. An aluminum
landing net makes a great flash when it crosses terminals!
This set the outside of the 6 gallon gas tank (which had gas spilled on the outside when he filled it just before we left) on fire.
Abandon ship!
Thankfully we were only a hundred yards from shore, in 5 ft. of water.
It could have been much worse, the only things lost were fishing equipment, and the boat.

That old 14' Lone Star fiberglass boat burned for at least an hour.

Lone Star boat... couldn't be the same, but I worked for that company for a bit of time out of school....

First boat dad bought when i was a kid was a Lone Star. Uncle had one also.
