Been trying to find out the boundary of a certain Elk hunting area, in Fremont county, WY. There's 3 Willow creeks.. I'm looking for Willow creek, the one that's off HWY 28, near the last road left to South Pass City, coming from Lander. There's 2 creeks right in that area. My Wyoming Atlas isn't much help, as where I'm thinking it should be is right in the crease between 2 pages. Can any WYO folks, familiar with that area, please help me out, with any geographical marks/locations, to pinpoint for me where this creek is? Any kind of help is much appreciated.

I think I know it, but I am not 100% sure. I got a 7-1/2 minute series USGS map last year, and I am pretty sure I remember the name of Willow Creek on it, but I gave my map to a buddy.
If I recall you go on the loop behind S.Pass City towards Miners delight. Go on past about 2 miles and there is a road that turns off to the left and goes to a cattle guard through a fence and then drops into the creek. I think that's it.
If you go to the BLM office and get a USGS 7-1/2 series map I am sure you can find it.

szihn,I appreciate your response. But I don't think that's it, unless its one that goes under hwy 28 somewhere west of where you're stating. The creek has to be one on the right side of HWY 28, if you are going South, somewhere near the last turn off for South Pass City. Problem is I don't know if this Willow creek, marking the Northern boundary of area 27, actually goes under the HWY, or runs along side it for a short distance, and connects to another creek. There are 2 creeks right in the immediate area, and a few more short little streams in the area as well. I will go the BLM and get a map, and also stop at Lander F&G. Maybe someone there will actually give me some landmarks, since this creek is one boundary of area 27.
Just want to hike a bit into the area, in case, I hope, I draw the tag for 25/27.
I really want to hunt the area 27 part of 25/27.
