High, but probably not nearly as much as you would have with one of the big bore cartridges that ruled the day. At that time 30-caliber was small and 25 was even more diminutive! What's t he rule I once read, you need at least 1000-fps at the point of impact to be effective on deer size game. Not to say that there aren't any exceptions to the rule in both ballistics and shooters.

I guess somebody should have asked the question "Killing WHAT?" I'm very fond of the .25-35 and have a couple, but I've always figured that for deer and pigs, given a decent shot, 120-130 yds. RELIABLE killing range would be more "accurate." A lot less for "Texas heart shots," and a tenth of THAT for spooked deer. Maybe a little farther if you handload with modern bullets and powders. Not a ctg. for running deer, at all, IMO.
