Any good 30-06, 200 grain bullet recipes? I'm most curious about velocities. I tried some 200 gr Accubonds when they first came out and could barely break 2600. Thanks.

I shoot them in both my .300's but they are moving out just over 3000fps.

Nosler data shows 2600+ with a 24" barrel so I would not be looking for a lot more than you got.

I would think that 2600 fps is close to peak speed without being over pressure. 200 grains is a good size pill in an 06.

I get 2700 FPS with RL 17 also 22" barrel. In 2 06,s . Loaded same case over 5 X,s with tight primer pockets. RL 17 is tricky does not show traditional pressure signs use a chronograph.

I use a close to max load of RL19 with 200 partitions, velocity was right around 2600. I think IMR4831 might do better in the velocity arena.

An old thread... but your fastest load is going to be with H 4831SC...

Give you a hint, to quote the Ballistician at Nosler on an old thread...

" you can't get enough 4831SC in an 06 case to exceed SAAMI specs."

do a light crimp...

Hint:
This load isn't a book load...
