Buffalo bullets in Montana had them in different weights when I was messing with the HP.

Molds for the casts come up on ebay. I have found several boxes at small shows. They are out there, just have to keep beating the bushes. Gun shows and sales, look in all the boxes of mixed junk, not the dealer tables with all new stuff. We found loaded 87 grain 250 ammo yesterday@ 30 box, Joe.
I'm not greedy, I just want one of each.

Have a box of 100 Hornady 22cal 227 70 Gr sp w/c #2280 that I will ship to you for $37.00. Was saving them but likely won't ever use them. GW

Seem to remember hearing that Hornady said their .227 wouldn't stabilize consistently in older 22HP's?

You need to file the tip off the Hornady bullets, the Buffalo arms bullets shoot very well out of my 1917 22HP any of the others you have to buy em as you see them, at gun shows or Flea markets ect.

I spent the best part of a decade beating the bushes- gun shows, classified WTB ads on the internet, and dusty shelves in LGS's. I shudder to think of the hundreds of hours I logged in that pursuit, and the money I spent gives me nightmares. The result is a few thousand various .228's horded away to hopefully last out my days. Ditto purpose-made bullet molds. (I have long since adopted the SOP of doing most of my HP shooting with cast bullets & light loads- saves on brass, hard to find jacketed bullets, and 100 year old barrel steel. I save the jacketed stuff for hunting and other special occasions.)
Like John said, they're out there. It's just a matter of finding them. Buffalo Arms is your best bet for commercially available bullets. Hint:get their 60 grainers when they have them.
Don't be afraid of Hornady 70 grain spire points, when and if you find them. They sometimes work ok in our rifles (especially in the cold at high altitudes), but usually not. Plan on trimming the noses to make them shorter so they stabilize in the slow twists of the Savages. Several ways to skin that cat. PM me if you have the need to.
