Grain looks good there, how's it in the end knob?

Is that the 26" 'multipurpose' version?

There was a guy on ebay that had great prices on Husky axe's and hatchets. I got a hatchet for myself and each of my boys and it was right around $100 for the three of them.

Is that the smallest they make? I'd like to get a small hatchet for my moose hunt in November.

Looks great Jud.

I just ordered a 19" Husqvarna carpenters like the one FG shows in the pic. After FG let me handle his axe, I knew I need one for the tool box.

Might have to pick up multipurpose one like yours.

How much did you end up paying for it Lonny.

PS......we need to shoot some gofers pretty soon. The grass is getting pretty high.

Course it's probably not as tall up where your dads place is due to elevation but it won't be long now that the weather's changed.

It's a shame they don't make a 35-36 inch axe.

It was $56 shipped on Ebay. They had'em from that price on up to $70 ish for the carpenters version. Surprisingly, no local place carried them that I found.

Madsens is not just a local, to you, shop. I have bought a lot from their catalog and online. The website has an amazing amount of info.

Ya they ship all over, Alaska Canada etc. store is badass, huge with lots of toys... I've seen it evolve from a 1000 sqf saw shop into a damn big warehouse.

I was thinking that splitter would make a darn nice Father's Day gift (for me). Might have to go for a package deal and do the multipurpose axe also. smile

These are 2 different Husqvarna's I've seen pics of. Those Swedes at times make them a little hard for my liking. I'm sure it's a few isolated instances, but know it happens.

I don't believe Husqvarna makes their own axes. I know Wetterlings made them at one time. From what I have read elsewhere, Hults Bruks makes them currently. Either way, it's a good ax at a good price.

I suppose a fella could find a pic of a damaged Gansford too if he looked hard enough.
