Seem to hear many complaints about the PR single triggers their tendency to "double". I have owned a couple and had no problems with either single or DT myself. The ST doubling problem can usually be corrected by a smith familiar with the guns. More serious problem is lack of replacement parts.

I have a 28 Gauge Parker repro and I've been very pleased. It's choked full/mod and I'd like something a little more open but the barrels are too thin for Briley to convert to even thin walled tubes and it hasn't seemed to hurt my results on birds. It's getting a bit beat up with all the field work but that's life when they're used.

Pugs, You have your shotguns mixed up. Nice shotgun in the pic, but it's not a Parker Repo. Parkers were and are boxlocks.

I did not realize that Parker or Parker Repro made sidelocks? You should be able to open the chokes up without using tubes, correct?

I could and thought about it but after five years of hunting with it I have to admit that the mod/full is working out fine. In fact, I'm astonished how well so I guess I'll keep it. It is getting a little beat up but such is the life of a gun that actually gets used.
