what is the difference between the Ultravid HD and HD Plus?

The HD Plus is actually a slightly better optic with superior coatings, however, when Leica USA imported the HD the Euro to dollar was different which is why it costs more. The HD Plus is the one to buy, while this demo deal is still available

can you give me a brief run down of the differences between the ERI and the Visus?? Is the Visus just a replacement for the ERI? Thanks

The differences are:

1) Improved illumination system (brighter dot)
2) Improved finish/external parts (all metal parts such as turret caps, glossy finish option)

Optically they are the same. The Visus got a new look to make that series suit high end and vintage rifles. It is intended as the go-to for Dakotas, vintage Rigbies, etc.
