Darn nice copy, cosmetically, but I'm sure won't hold up.
Good to know, and thanks for sharing.

eBay seller "crazybushnell" has Bushnell, Leupold, and Zeiss knock-offs on eBay auctions and in their eBay store.

Very nice replica. Tipoff is in the spec sheet: "Place of origin - China (mainland)".

I bought it on Ebay for $300 AUD which I thought was a good price for the genuine product. After paying for it via Paypal it hadn't arrived 10 days later, so I sent the seller a nasty messages requesting the scope. He messaged back saying he didn't have a Paypal account, blah, blah, blah. In the end, I got the scope (a Leupold confirmed fake) and realised the transaction had not gone through so I cancelled payment through Paypal. I sent the seller a massage saying he could have his scope back when he paid for return postage. I never heard from him agian. So at the end of the day, I got the scope without paying for it. I was very lucky. Leupold confirmed it was FAKE via the serial number.

Its still sitting unused in the box it came in. Here's some pics.

Did you report it as a counterfeit product to eBay?

I saw one NIB a few years ago. The Leupold logo looked like it could be easily scratched off with your fingernail and no gold ring on the bell. Seller wanted $400 if I remember correctly.

Another popular scope that is copied is the Zeiss Conquest. They are found all over Ebay, and called
clones, replicas openly by US sellers. Those sellers should have their nuts "wrung". If you need a better
explanation, just ask................ Ebay does not care, and Zeiss does not either, trying to stop the counterfeit.

And don't even think of buying anything from China, all counterfeit.

Unfortunately, many fall for these fake scopes. Had a neighbor show me a Leupold Mark 4 for $80 + $33 shipping. I said gee, do you think it's really a Leupold? His answer was damn right it's a Leupold. I didn't argue; some will only learn the hard way.
