I've used various camcorders for the last 30 years, mostly Sony. I've recently upgraded from a HD video Sony to a 4K Sony that uses an SD card for storage. This is my first time with a card and not a video tape.

I'm a little confused on my playback now. In the past, I'd shoot video of my hunts and get a good hour or so of footage. Watching later on TV was no hassle. Now with my $$$ Sony the SD card breaks everything up into "segments" which doesn't allow me to watch later on via TV. I might video a minute of elk bugling, then other video of elk, say, fighting. I then tag a bull and shoot hero shot footage, etc, on and on.

The replay breaks all that up into segments that I have to view separately. Choose elk bugling...over in a minute. Then you have to manually select the next shot, elk fighting, for example, watch that for 30 seconds, then I have to switch to the next segment to view. What the devil?

Is there a way to view my video in one showing and not fifty-eleven stupid 30-second clips?

Thanks for any enlightenment on this...

Not done video lately, but try using the "pause" button instead of "start/stop." The start/stop likely starts writing a new file each time they're used. Turning the unit on and off will likely start a new file as well.

There are video editors that can splice them together. I've never used one and can't recommend one, though.
