I just recently bought a Ruger American in 7mm08 for my grandson. Put together a couple loads and finally got to the range. The first consisted of 41 grs Varget, WLR. primer, Rem case and 140 gr Sierra GK's seated to 2.760. That load shot just under an inch, .991 at 100 yds. Second consisted of 45 grs H414, WLR primer, Rem case and 140 gr Nosler Partitions, seated to 2.810...It shot an outstanding .390!!... I may bump the charge weight up a half grain or so on the Varget and try again but with the way that H414 and Partitions shot I may just "call it good"... :

135 Berger classic hunter behind 61.5 H1000 (only safe in my rifle, work up your loads). 3100 FPS, 24” barrel and groups well for me
