Backcountry Lots outside of Squamish/Warning

Came out today with my stepson and daughter from four days at the Elfin Shelter. Hit the parking lot to find my car gone. One car was torched and another had all its' windows smashed out. Three years ago I had all my windows smashed in the same parking lot. Right before xmas as well. I would not recommend parking in this lot overnight.

It concerns me but does not surprise me about some of the responses to this, indicating that stuff like this is no reason to arm yourself in the backcountry.

Don't you just wish for once one of 'us' would happen upon these cretins in the act?

If the perps were apprehended, and prosecuted, I am sure they would get off with a wrist slap. Shame.
