The crimp is to hold the bullet from being pushed rearward, so I like the idea of trying to push it farther into the case. Using the bullet puller should have the opposite effect of recoil. Besides, pushing the bullet in, you are working against the case mouth, but when using the puller, you only have to use enough force to open the case slightly. Sound fair?
