I have a Bartlein 0 Contour that is like a feather weigh contour but with a straight taper. I want to give it a short radius featherweight shank and blend this with the existing taper making a double taper like the Winchester.

Send it back to Bartlein - I bet it'll be done at a very reasonable cost..

Exactly! If you have never turned down a barrel you don't know what a PITA it is without correct equipment.

Bartlein won't go smaller than a #2 contour with stainless and the weight and taper on the 0 are not that different. I will see what my gunsmith says when I get it chambered but it probably won't affect weigh and balance enough to make much difference but would look better.

You could check with ITD if no one here takes you up. He has the equipment and knowledge. I know he will do about anything you want if safe, but won't guarantee accuracy on smaller than recommended contours. There would be no return and he would tell you that up front. He won't thread it until the ITAR stuff gets settled though.
