Ewe sheep in Western MT, close to home. Good eats, fun hunt.
This is my last year of putting in for Ewes only, as this is year 7. Yes, in 2010 lightning struck! :-)
Starting on the Ram draw preference next year... again.

Sadly had to watch a Warden (Kerry Wahl) put down a Moose today that had been hit by a car just south of Henneberry this morning.

A good friend drew a goat tag for the same are his 15 yr old daughter shot her goat in last year.
He only had to wait 36 years.

Most everyone I know has 17 points for MSG, so that's nothing special. Myself 38 years on all 3 and zip. You new guys sitting at less then 20 years are just warming up.

You all have about the same luck as I do...I think I was in for 23-25 hunts throughout the west and Alaska this year and all I got was a mediocre caribou tag, unlimited Montana deer, plus general tags. Shouldn't complain I guess, but hey. I'm a whiner  . I know people every year (this year is no exception) that draw hard elk and deer hunts their first time putting in...frustrating to say the least.
