I have an olympic arms Ar in 45 acp.I would really like to replace the factory barrel BUT I haven't been able to find anyone who has a 45 barrel that the olympic arms bolt will fit.I have tried a barrel from Dead shots but the barrel extension isn't changeable--the oly barrel extension has a feed ramp cut into it and the bolt inserts into the extension so---any suggestions?None of my local smiths have been any help.

sounds like your best bet is contact an actual AR15 gun smith, not a parts assembler. May have to be a bit of machine work done...
We can keep Larry Root and all his idiotic blabber and user names on here, but we can't get Ralph back..... Whiskey Tango Foxtrot, over....

Rudy will be a great help, I've bought two 9mm set ups from him already. I also got to play with a couple of his full-auto .45 carbine AR's, and they were a blast to shoot...if I wasn't already so heavily invested in the 9mm platform, I would certainly consider one of his DI .45 guns.

Since I got rudy's barrel now I actually have an extra barrel,upper receiver,and bolt carrier group--all Olympic arms factory --and I think I'll be offering them for sale incl.several oly mags
