A guy on eBay, selling as "Howdy357", has several of these new in package auxiliary chamber adapters for sale for around $20. Not very useful or practical, but a neat accessory for the discerning 250-3000 owner.

He also has some 32ACP in 32 Remington auxiliary chamber adapters for about the same price.

** Disclaimer ** I have not done business with this eBay seller and have no connection with him, this is just a "heads up" alert for anyone who might be interested in Marble's chamber adapters.

I tried one of these adapters in a friends 250 Savage 1899. Total disappointment. Zero accuracy even at 20 yards and hits nowhere near where sights are set for high power ammo. I have collected adapters of varying calibers. Most have some value, some worthless. I have had rabbit accuracy at 25 yards with most 30 caliber adapters when chambered for the 32 ACP. The shotgun x handgun caliber adapters are useless if the adapter is un-rifled. I have never tried these that were rifled. I have a 12 gauge x 22lr that is rifled and it give adequate accuracy.

Not at all surprising. .25ACP= .251 diameter bullet. Not a good fit in a .25 rifle bore with .257 groove diameter.

.32ACP bullets at .311-.313" swage down for a tight fit in .30 rifle bore. Such adapters that I have messed with gave tin can accuracy at 300 yards.

Gotcha. More like 25 yards.

I have one of the 250 to 25 ACP adapters that I bought back in the 1970s. Works okay for squirrels at typical deer stand ranges, meaning 20 or 30 feet. My 99 is equipped with a peep sight, so there may be an advantage there.

Just download your standard 250 cartridges and skip the adaptors, they don't shoot for sheit.
