Happy birthday to one cool kid. Those of you who've never had a chance to meet Tom's boy would be very impressed with the boy, and the way his dad has brought him up. Any new shootin' irons among his birthday gifts, Tom?

Yes, sir. He got a Steoger 3020, semiauto shotgun. He got that a few days before we went turkey hunting. He's going to South Dakota to hunt pheasants this fall with his stepdad. So, he can use it out there too.

It was a great fathers day. Lots of fishing yesterday as well. Drove up and met my dad for lunch and brought the kids. Then we went to my mom and stepdad's to see him and we fished some more. It was a great weekend really. Great weather too.

Happy Belated Birthday to Jack.

Ryan, if I ever decide to get rid of the .300 Handi rifle I will let you know. Yes, Remington shut down New England Firearms (NEF) when they bought Marlin.
I got mine on a closeout from Bud's Gun Shop. One of the most accurate rifles I own. Also mucho fun to shoot. I occasionally deer hunt with it if I am in relatively close cover although it is MOA accurate at 100 yards.
Now you all know where my tag line comes from.

Happy Belated Father's Day and Birthdays to all who have recently had one.

A buddy of mine got us VIP tickets to Lakes Jam in Brainerd, Mn this weekend and a gal he is seeing is bringing a new motor home from her work for us to stay in. I'm not so much in to the big crowd/concert scene but who could pass it up when it's free?

5 weeks of radiation treatment under my belt now. 'Really feeling tired . The energy level ain't real high today. I need to get out fishing, shoot the rifles, or even just go mow the yard. 'Gotta keep somewhat active so this crap doesn't get the best of me. 'Had a nice exchange with T-Zone yesterday. For anyone that hasn't met Tom, he's as good as they come. Have a good weekend guys. Off to radiation treatment, and then a very boring all day training session in Hastings.

All day training sessions are the worst. It seems that someone always sneaks in before I get there and sets the clocks to half speed. Keep active and get lots of sleep Jeff!

It's all done. Needed an 80 to pass the class and I got an 82, so no re-takes. Hey guys-Berettaman's Youth Outdoors Day is rapidly approaching. Me and possibly my wife will be volunteering again this year. I'm sure he could use some more help. Please consider pitching in on this and make it a true Campfire effort. Contact him for more details. It's a one day event in Alexandria on a Sunday in August. It would be nice to see some of our guys there for this.

I'm sure ND will post the words but it was 10 years ago today that we lost the man that inspired the timing of Camp Chickenbuck being built by our friends Dave, Pam and family.

This day is a hard one.

As his wife "Makes No Patties" told us last night "Sometimes it feels like forever and sometimes it feels like yesterday"

That sums it up pretty good...

RIP Waylon

10 years.

I don't have any words prepared. It rained all day and I've kept busy thinking about other things.

Raise a glass if you feel so inclined, to my best friend from age zero to 37. He probably thinks its funny how much I've aged in 10 yrs.

To Waylon, we miss you.

A happy Fourth of July to all happy Chickenbuckeroos. (Hey,new word I just invented)
Waylon must have been a hell of a guy.
It's hot down" sout". I need to accomplish some light yard work but it ain't gonna happen until we have a relatively cool overcast day.
Ryan, you just can't ever tell what them Vikings might do. Be prepared.

Hi everybody, hope you are all well. I'm dropping by to let folks know whats going on with photos not working (here or pretty much all over on the internet.

"photobucket" is a popular image hosting site on the internet that many people (myself included) have used to store images online. Suddenly there are issues, I haven't had time to study up on it completely but people are saying photobucket is basically holding photos ransom and demanding a high annual fee for hosting 3rd party etc. This is just an old forum thread littered with old photos (that no longer work). No big deal.

It's more of a problem for businesses that have photo links to products for sale that no longer work.

Anyways, I'm not sure what to do about it. It's certainly too much to try to go back and fix in this thread. The thread is around 10 years old now.
