Fun while it lasted.

Thanks for the buzzkill IB . . .

. . . on the "bright side", salmon fishing will pick up, salmon berries and blueberries are just ahead, and of course, big game hunting.

Mike,

I got no sympathy for you June, July, and August. Come December I'll reconsider.

Also heard beer tastes better in the dark.

Look at it this way Mike - you don't have to get up as early to watch a sunrise, and sundowner time arrives sooner.

Don't know why it bothers me but it does

Not like it's a surprise happens every year about this time

Still have an empty woodshed and need to go get salmon

Yard needs mowed again, snogo fixed, cabin logs oiled, back lot bulldozed

Think I'll have a beer first and make a priority list

1. Drink beer

I'm pretty certain when we sing our anthem and mention the land of the free, the original intent didn't mean cell phones, food stamps and birth control.

Mike,
I made a trip to Kodiak last August. We flew into Anchorage, then off to Kodiak without much of a layover.

It will probably be the summer of 2019 before I get back to the Kenai. I'll be retired then and will have the time to drive up. I will definitely look you uppto share a brewsky or wet a line.

I am convinced we have this all bassakwards. We should get to play around and experience life when we are young. The government should pay us from 21 to 30, then let uswork it off.

Right?

I know summer is coming every year, know it's short, but every summer by the time it's half gone I realize I haven't done any of the fun summer stuff and honey do's are going to eat up what precious time is left in the summer.

Back in about '85 I made a "to do" list for the summer. While the wife was gone off to MS school, with the kids. It had maybe 30 items on it. By September (moose season) it was up to 35.

I threw away the list.

Still have a couple thngs to do on it....

Nothing like the threat of snow to help a feller prioritize!
