My 10 year old daughter asked for binos, any suggestions? She doesn't show any interest in hunting, she just wants to look at stuff. Can I get something decent for around $100? Thanks

Leupold Yosemite 6x30, you can usually find them on sale for $75 - $85. If not I think the regular price I right at $100. Really nice binocular fir the money.

+1 on the 6x30 Leupold Yosemite that bdan suggested. My daughter has had a pair since she was 7. They will close down pretty tight and fit small faces. I find myself using hers often, despite having $2000 glass in the house......

This question comes up occasionally but the answer is consistently the same, Leupold Yosemite 6x30. Several of us have used them and found them to be great for the money and they would still be great without the money. I use mine as much as I use my 8X40 expensive glass. Clarity, lightweight, tough, simple. My 11yr old grandson has been using them since about 8 years old and prefers them to any of my several other binocular. At that price I'd suggest two, one for the daughter and one for the dad.

+6 for the 6x Yosemite. IMO, the 6x and 8x are more different in the Yosemite than just the two X's - go with the 6x. (Just looking to nip that one in the bud before the thought enters your or her mind)

+ whatever the number is for the 6x Yosemite. They are good for adults too. I have several and wife loves hers (pink camo version)
Not a fan of the 8x version though

The Pink ones are cheaper sometimes.

Another vote for the 6x30 Yosemites. Same here......... Got some about five years ago for the step grand daughter to use when she's here. Now she has to pry them away from the wife to use them. They've pretty much been taken over by my wife, so much so that I recently got myself a set or 8x30 Yosemites when Midway had 'em on sale. The 8x30's are great also.
