This is the prototype Remington 24X scope from the Remington Custom Shop made in the middle 70s. It will go on my Turtle shooter. I was able to purchase this scope and one of only 3 that were produced from the estate of Mike Walker The build sheet. Was gifted an older 40X(722) receiver 40X receiver PT&G fitted bolt assm 3 Pos safety-Jim Kobe Custom bolt handle-Dan Armstrong Action squared and barrel threads single point threaded to clean up-Gene Davis Special Bartlien barrel with 8 groove, left hand twist, and gain twist A very beautiful chambering job-Gene Davis Custom scope bases-Jim Kobe Roger Vardy Walnut Stock by Jim Kobe

Beautiful piece of wood. At first I thought maybe it would look better with the stock pattern shifted up a bit toward the top of the blank, but there really isn't a bad spot in that entire blank. Can't wait to see pics of it cut to shape. Should really shine with finish on it.

The metal is out to Turnbull's and the barrel being SS is out for melonite. I hope the metal finish matches. Pictures do not do the wood justice.

T'was certainly worth what you paid..Looks like it will be a great build.
