You want something different from the built-in Ruger dovetails? They work great.

Guy that 375 HH is beautiful , but I have never been a fan of the Ruger system .

The number 1 I am working with has been re barreled to 35 whelan and my intent was to mount a Leopold system , just assumed it would be standard and available .

Do have a 375 HH Winchester High Wall at the smith being drilled and tapped for Leopold bases .

Leupold Ringmounts are available, but I don't know of any bases available to replace the ribs. The Leupy rings are nice and a tiny bit narrower than the Rugers.

Someone on here once said that the rib screws are a bear to remove once rings have been clamped tight on the rib.

What fresh Hell is this?

I have Alaska Arms QD's on three Hawkeyes and love them. Thinking about putting them on my #1.

Great quality, attractive and return to zero in order to use open sights.

Camdog those Alaska QD's are nice but they use Ruger bases .

I have been digging in old archives , I've found reference in 2014 to S&K scope mounts and see pictures of a no.1 with exactly what I want.....anyone with experience with them ?

Will be calling them tomorrow.

You might check out Conetrol also. Never seen any for a No. 1, but they appear to make them:

Another Ruger fan here. Had issues with a rifle once, chatted on Monday with Ruger on the phone, and had new rings on Thursday.
