Im thinking about a vg6 gamma 5.56 compbrake, suppose to be pretty topnotch and they can be had for under 60 on some sites online. One of the things i have been hearing about alot of muzzle devices is lateral drift, righties go right , lefties go left. Is this really a drastic thing, or are people just not getting their hand out on the forearm enough and not getting a good triangle with elbow up enough? have watched a bunch of vids and i am not seeing this lateral drift alot of people speak of when people have a good solid shooting form . Im reading the comments on various forums/threads about lateral drift and just not seeing it in vids. What are you guys experiences that run comp brakes? [align:center][/align]

All 3 of his vids are pretty darn good and then his write ups are really good also. He said after testiing the vg6gamma it was gonna earn a home on his tavor. He has a bunch of trigger test vids and graphs also.

I have a battle comp and SJC titan. No issues with either drifting.

I dont know why alot of people say they experience drift other than maybe they got their arm directly under the forearm and a weak form, like i said i read about drift in threads on different sites , but i dont see it on vids, i just need to get one and see for myself.

I haven't heard it called lateral drifting, but I'm sure I know what they're referring to. And yes, it is a very real thing.

It'll show up when you shoot offhand. For a right handed shooter the rifle is supported on the left side and will push right during recoil. An aggressive brake will counteract that. Shoot at a C-Zone size target or 12" plate at 100 yards offhand and you'll definitely see the sights drift laterally during recoil.

Whether it's drastic or not is dependent on what you're wanting to do. Shoot one target one time?....Not a big deal. Shoot that same target multiple times?....Bigger deal.

The drasticness is dependent on target size, distance, and how many times you need to hit it.

Sprung for it, online site toms tactical best price i could find w free shipping, slow tgt fire out to 200yds, controlled doubles under 50yd, rapid sometimes 0-50yds, and bump off the shoulder 5-7 rds to 50 yds,Couple of 30 rd dumps out to 50 yds. Put it thru these and so how it works , biggest thing im looking for is less muzzle rise and quicker accurate following shots. Basically fast accurate fire.
