Some people ask questions, that were already answered. At what point do you stop spoon feeding them? Not like we are old chums.

Ken... that's too much gun. You should have used your .223 AI and posted on that forum topic grin

I may never find out how great these calibers are. Just ordered a 45-70. It's American to go big.

Are you for real? I suspect you to be Savage99's sockpuppet. If so it's good to see that your posting, knowledge like yours is hard to find these days.

May seem alien to you, but more deer killed with 45-70, than 223, that's for sure. So not sure where your moral outrage comes from.

You really doubt that? It would be more fitting to insult them. But who actually doubts this?

I reckon that's possible – 10-15 years ago.

I honestly can't think of a single time that I've known a 45/70 to be used on a deer in the last 20 years. I can't guess how many times a 223 has been used in that same time frame, but I know it's in the hundreds. I'm only talking about deer that have been killed by people I know, first hand, not on the internet.

It's illegal to kill deer on the internet, in most states.

45-70 more popular than the .223?

There has been a big boom in 45-70s. You guys need to get our more. Last 10 years or so have really picked up. Hornady is doing leverevolution ammo. Though lots use jhp or lead.

I not sure if you are just can't admit you are wrong, or in the dark. Obviously it's a woods gun. Google it, you will be enlightened, or maybe just keep being smart as cause you like to.

While I am sure people use 223. I know of not a 1, in person. I know 3 friends using 45-70.

Marlin has been selling lots of these, Henry came out with one in stainless and synthetic stock. Not going on anymore, cause I suspect you have to know this, and are just _______.
