I'm in the Toric 10x42 bino camp, have been considering what to get my daughter. Will be hunting in a couple years and I want to get her comfortable using binos. She's been practicing but an upgrade is in her future.

I've been drooling over those Toric 10x 42 binoculars also. I've got plenty of riflescopes sitting around waiting to get put to good use but we could really use a decent set of binoculars and it looks as though the Toric would fit the bill nicely in both power and size.

The Toric 10x42 would be perfect for my planned trips to Denver, Casper Wyoming, Yellowstone, Colorado Springs, Santa Fe and Albuquerque at the end of the month. I could attach some solar filters to them and take pictures using a Snapzoom http://snapzooms.com, to get some great shots of the eclipse.

If I win I will use them throughout my entire trip and take lots of pictures of/with them.
