I dont know if were talking about the same thing, but a couple of weeks ago the temperature here on the Eastern Shore was 97* F. It was not the record. The record was 99* set in 1904.

So tell what it's like to walk around like a idiot ? you just can't cherry pick one day and say it's not getting warmer, you need to get a average temp for a whole year, and see what the average temp for that past year was, then you could say that its colder or hotter..

I was there on the 10th. Pretty stinkin'.

Never been to Death Valley, but I spent two weeks in South Carolina in August, 2007. On the way home, the temp didn't break 100 until somewhere just north of Roanoke, VA. The heat broke like an icicle, kinda like what happens when you drive out of a downpour onto dry road.

My AC took a dump on me in my truck. 115 the other day. It did get up to 118 this year. I remember years ago when it got to 123. Ahhh.. Arizona, Valley of the Sun. I will say this, I will take 115 in Phoenix over 95 or so in Dallas, Houston, Georgia or whatever.

For the genius Outback. Why not look at the averages for 420,000 years?

And your point? The only thing in nature that doesn't change, is change. There is absolutely -zero- reason to think climate should be static. Earth's climate began to move out of the Little Ice Age 150 years ago, and that had jack [bleep] to do with people, just as warm periods previous to the LIA had jack [bleep] to do with people.

You want to talk about warmest years on record, according to collected data? OK, how about 1870, 1871.....1910, 1911....1930, 1931.... we can go on and on.... All occurring with a "human carbon footprint" that was absolutely minuscule compared to what it is today. Weird...how could that be?

That's a very telling graph!

Very interesting. But correlation does not equal causation. Did the CO2 and methane cause the temperature to go up or did the temperature going up cause the CO2 and methane to go up.

And...during the last 100 years or so, when CO2 and temperature have both gone up, did the methane go up? If so, what made the methane go up?

Don't blame me. I voted for Trump.

Just a small glimpse of Arkansas.

The record for the lowest temperature in Arkansas is -29°F at Pond in 1905, in northeast
Arkansas. The highest temperature was 120°F at Ozark in 1936.

Look out for number 1, don't step in number 2.

Kinda wondering the same thing. I guess forum headings are just too hard to grasp.
