Anyone apply for the special deer lottery in Ohio? Today is the last day to apply. I tried for Plumbrook & Ravenna gun hunts. For $3 a try no reason not to try. I've got a brother who lives in Ohio, we'll go together if either of us are drawn. Bob

I applied to all the gun hunts this year. My wife applies to the female hunts. Hope she gets into Ravenna this year. I don't care if I get drawn for any. Costs $12 to apply for the four gun hunts. Might as well. I've been drawn for Ravenna previously and had a good hunt that day.

Nada for me. Nada for my brother. Looks like a week of shotgun hunting down at Piedmont Lake.

We used to frequently see piebald deer near the refuge when goose hunting up there. Do you know if they still see them up there or not?

I honestly don't know. I live pretty close and haven't heard that there's piebalds around. But that doesn't mean they aren't there. That would be cool to get one though.

We drew a tag for one of the state goose blinds down near the refuge line one year and when the sun came up we had three of 'em out there grazing in front of us. They had a lot of white up on their withers and white spots on their necks. They kinda looked like antelope.
