I have a lot of handguns from Colt and S&W, but carry the Rossi 515s and 720s more than any other revolver.

I would get the keltec as I personally know their service is good. Mine stung when I shot it as well. Someone said LC9, this I think I would rent and try before you did anything, based on what I have seen and shot the striker fired gun is very good for the money.

We may know the time Ben Carson lied, but does anyone know the time Hillary Clinton told the truth?

I have a Sccy CPX-1 and so far has had 2 malfunctions (the first magazine) and has run both ball and hollow point flawlessly. I have fired 500 rounds so far and could not be happier.

At the price they're going for right now, I can't imagine why anyone would not buy a S&W Shield instead of a Taurus.
The PF9 is what it is. KT apparently doesn't expect them to last much over 3k rounds. It's still one of the (if not "the") smallest and lightest pistols in a fighting caliber, and eats everything 9mm.
But if "cheap" and small are the criteria, I'd still skip KT, SCCY, and Taurus, and get the Shield.

I understand what you're saying but for one thing, the rebate is over for the Shields. Not sure if those who have offered good deals will maintain those prices or not. It looks like PSA raised their prices about 50 bucks for a 9, and not much else is left in stock, presently. The Taurus also holds more rounds, being a double stack, and fits my hand better than the much slimmer Shield. I have both but have not shot either enough to form an opinion on that yet.

Ah, I was unaware the rebate was over. I'd still go for the Shield over any Taurus - single stack or not.

And if you require DAO without a safety, the Shield is also out.

And if you require DA/SA without a safety, the Shield is also out. So is the PF9. And the SCCY. Did you mean DAO without a safety? If so, the Shield is available as such - well, in a Glockish sort of "DAO" way.

I really like my Kel Tec P3AT. In a pocket holster it carries like a wallet.

The Kel Tec was a great sized carry gun. But the long trigger pull, and the aforementioned "sting" when shooting it. I sold it later to a friend that wanted it and havent looked back. I went to a glock 23. much better shooting for me.

The PF-9 is a carry much, shoot a little weapon IMHO.

So - you can get the Shield with or without a frame mounted thumb safety, unless you live in Massachusetts. I got mine without. Love it.

I can no longer tell my Concealed Carry students that a firearms does not fire a round unless the trigger is pressed (and all safeties defeated). We saw a Youtube video of a guy that was holding one of Taurus's semi-automatic handguns by the grip except his trigger finger was clearly outside of the trigger guard. He shook it from side to side vigorously and it cooked a round off! He did it again and again and again. Shaking a damned Taurus semi-auto can cause a truly accidental discharge...unless you know that shaking it will cause it to fire, in which case that particular discharge is a Negligent Discharge also. I've seen a semi-auto pistol move as vigorously during recoil as the Taurus was moved when it was just shaken. Frankly, I'm considering banning any Taurus from the class until Taurus fixes that permanently.
