I really like the way Gene is jigging that G10 now. Those look great and should serve you very well I'd think. Two weeks since Gene told me he was starting my Kingfisher. I'm like a kid waiting for Christmas...

Thanks guys. I'm just tickled how they came out and can't wait to put my hands on them.
I asked for the kydex to save some weight over leather but didn't anticipate the orange to match
These are a working set and I can't wait to hopefully skin my ram with them.

Solid pair! Nice surprise on the Kydex too. I have one on order from Gene with Kydex sheath but I'm hoping the sheath doesn't match the pink G10 scales.

Just opened them up and they are even better in person I asked Gene to cut out some weight and taper down the back on these for some upcoming backpack hunts Untitled by benjie bates, on Flickr Love the jigging on the handles Untitled by benjie bates, on Flickr just gotta decide now if i want to just carry one or both of them on this upcoming hunt. I'll be honest. It's going to be hard to top this set. They are just perfect for what i want and need Nothing I would change or really need

Awesome! Bet Gene would love to see pictures of his knives being put to use like that!

I sent Gene pics as soon as i got back.
I only ended up taking the Lite Hunter and left the skinner at home (counting ounces lol), the hunter was just perfect for breaking down the sheep.
The skinner is getting saved and will get broken in next September on hopefully a nice Canadian Moose or Bison
I really think i could hunt the rest of my life with just these 2 blades, not much more to want or ask for.
really makes me re-think future knife order that i have on the books.

I hear ya, I have Westinghouse matching Slim Hunter and #4 B&T stretched to 3.5". I had a Skinny Semi on order but on giving that some thought instead I went with a 5" Kingfisher. And for the next order from Gene, what could compliment those three? Now it's a matter of want, not need.
