You're starting to piss off the Big Green Egg guys ! funny you should say that Denny. I was thinking the same thing. Bob's set up reminds me of the trench and concrete block contraption I used to BBQ whole pigs during the old days in Miami Kendall.

LOL! I keep charcoal in that bucket. I usually cheat and start my pit fire with theee or four of them ready light briquets. Then I pile on a few pecan twigs and broken limbs before my favorite BBQ wood is applied!

Well schit, another site says Native to Texas. Range shows it in most of Arkansas except where I live. Must have seen it while working and traveling the State. miles

pretty much like it Bob. Dig a trench for the fire, build the blocks up around it, top with a expanded metal grate and add another layer of so of blocks. Top with sheet tin.
