I just finished "The Day After Roswell" by retired Col. Philip J. Corso (with William Birnes). I remember when it came out and was on bookshelves back in 1997 and thought to myself, 'Oh, another UFO book'. End of interest.
But, for some reason I decided to read it and bought it in paperback. Boy, was my opinion wrong!!
If this is to be believed, there was a Roswell UFO. There were little EBE's (extraterrestrial biologic entities) and the saucer was mined for technology. Integrated circuits on silicon wafers. Transistors. Lasers. Particle beam weapons, although Tesla is given credit also. And more. Like Army plans for a moon base. Cooperation with the Soviets over a mutual threat. SDI--"Star Wars". And so on. Particularly interesting was the Army's opinion of the Intelligence Services.
A very interesting book to read. It could use a table of contents but at 370+ pages now, a table of contents would add a lot of volume to a fairly technical book.
Worth the read.

If you had the ability of interstellar flight, the answers to gravity, inertial dampenning, and physics on such a grand scale........would YOU bother with this backward planet? Everything they might want from us, they could get elsewhere, without dealing with primates.

the only real difference between a good tracker and a bad tracker, is observation. all the same data is present for both. The rest, is understanding what you're seeing.

Everything they might want from us, they could get elsewhere, without dealing with primates. Maybe they're interested in food? Water? Minerals? Pals? Maybe to steal your soul? Got me. I've only seen one. It was over the city for hours. So long that radio announcers told people about it. It didn't seem to even move for hours. The USAF sent up a T-33 to 30,000 or so feet and took a picture and it only seemed to be a little bit closer. It looked like a big white glistening ice cream cone. ............ Now we would know it was one of those ultra high balloons used for military experiments.

Wasn't there an alleged UFO event that occurred at same time (same evening) as Roswell over between Datil and Magdelina on the Plain of San Augustin? Where current VLA resides?

IIRC the book mentions that but just in passing, as in "there were reports of".

I always thought that the 2 events were probably related. Maybe a collision or a near miss that caused the 1 to crash. The lack of news about one and a lot about the other is very interesting. miles
Look out for number 1, don't step in number 2.

The whole business is very interesting if a person wants to take the risk of opening his mind (as are a lot of things).

Sort of a puzzle. I don't know about the whole Roswell thing. Or Area 51. Etc. Too much speculation, too much obfuscation.
I do know, however, that I've seen 2 things overhead in daylight I couldn't identify, things which by their physical characteristics seemingly defy conventional explanation. That's the sorta shyte that piques my curiosity. However, unlike weirdness on the ground, that overhead stuff seemingly defies my tool set for conducting investigation.
