I have one of each above the br has a 12" twist and the dasher has a 8" twist. I will be shooting 600 to 700 yds at steel targets (10"- 6") , both rifles are accurate .5 moa at 100 yds. The rifle in question for the rebarrel is a ruger num 1 220 swift varmint with a pitted barrel that won't shoot, seems to me the dasher cases stretch less then the br and are easy to fire form. The new 6 br would have 8" twist this time so i can shoot high ballistic coefficient bullets what do the pro's think?. (please stick to the cartridges mentioned because i have dies for both). Thanks
I get 2820 fps in 25 inches of barrel in a straight br with varget and a 105 berger.. Have a 600 yd berm and see no advantage with the dasher. Real world velocity difference with 2 local dashers is about 150fps. One of my dasher shooting friends is shooting 115 gr still a little faster than I shoot 105s.. Details, details! You can't go wrong either way.
