Don't know if this will get enough action for Rick to make it a sticky, but put your loads here and we'll see what happens... Here's one that consistently shoots well for me: 37gr Varget behind 140gr Berger Hybrid seated at lands. 2778fps from my 26" Criterion barrel. Routinely puts 5 shots into .3 - .4" at 100 yards. Below is 4 shots at 830 yards. 3.5" group. John

Good idea.
My rifle is a 700 barreled action put together by Longshot Rifles Inc and wears a sendero-contour Rock Creek 22.5" barrel with 1-8" twist. It's bolted in a Mag-Pul stock with alloy chassis, as the adjustable LOP and small grip diameter lets my daughter shoot it too. I did have Gre-Tan bush the bolt, as the firing pin hole was a bit sloppy and primers looked ugly from the start. Only shot one bullet for results, being the 129gr LRAB that I wanted to hunt with last year. It hits lands at 2.750" OAL in my chamber.
***ALWAYS WORK UP***
129gr LRAB (.015 off lands) CCI 450 Lapua case RL15 powder
37.0gr - 2,715fps 37.5gr - 2,790 fps 38.0gr - 2,800fps 38.5gr - 2,810 fps
129gr LRAB (.015 off lands) CCI 450 Lapua case RL17 powder
41.0gr - 2,840fps 41.7gr - 2,900fps 42.2gr - 2,925fps
I shoot the load in bold print as my hunting load, as it had the speed I was looking for and was easy to get half MOA out of. Several of the loads shot around half MOA during load development, so I never played with seating depth. I'm probably sending the barreled action off to Kampfeld soon for some heavy flutes and a bob back to 21", just to make things better balanced and more maneuverable in a box blind. 2,850fps with 129/130gr stuff should still be easy enough.
Now with even more aplomb

My Borden actioned 6.5x47L with a 22" bartlein used 40.0 gr. Varget behind a 100 gr. TTSX, lapua brass and CCI450 for 3100 fps. Tiny groups, minimal kick and is my standard deer load.

With 26" barrels most folks are shooting the 140's at 2775-2790 range and the 130's at 2870-2890.
40.8 grains of H4350 with a 140
37.4gr of Varget with a 130

I've been running a heavy for PRS comps, rifle, for 8-1/2 yrs and a light, for hunting, rifle for 7-1/2 yrs now. The heavy is on it's 2nd barrel and it's likely nearing it's life expectancy before the end of the year. Light's had more testing, trying to find different hunting bullets.
Light, Pierce SA, 24.5" #3 Broughtton in a McM Rem Sporter with a NF 2.5-10x42 on top. 5-shot groups.
140 Berger, Ramshot Hunter (43'ish gr) with CCI 450's. 2845 fps, .7 moa 142 Matrix, Rel 17 (42'ish gr), Fed 205match primers, 2917 fps, 5 sd, .6 moa. Killed spike elk at 950 with this load. 130 VLD, H4350. (40'ish gr), CCI 450. 2850 fps with single digit SD. .2 to .6 moa. 127 LRX, Varget, (36'ish gr), CCI br primer, 30 off, 2803 fps, 13 SD for .6 moa groups. This load has killed 1 mulie and 3 elk; 250 to 500 yds. 130 AB, Target (36'ish gr) CCI br primer, .1" off lands, 2760 fps, 6 sd, .55 moa 140 VLD, H4350, (40'ish gr) CCI 450, 5 off lands, 2770 fps, 3 SD 140 VLD, IMR 4007ssc, (40'ish gr), 2750 fps, single digit SD. 129 ABLR, Rel 17, (41'ish gr) 25 off lands, single digit SD....5'ish moa 142 LRAB, Rel 17, (39'isg gr), 5 off, 2800 fps, 10 sd, .65 moa
Heavy rifle with Kreiger 8.5 twist, 26" MTU contour
Original load was, 130 VLD, 40'ish gr H4350/CCI 450 for 2820-40 fps. Single digit SD's and .4-.6 moa 1000 yd groups. Switched to 140 VLD when it came out, pretty much same load but 2750'ish fps with single digit SD and .5 moa
New, Hawk Hill Marksman contour 26" barrel, running 36'ish gr Varget, CCI 450 and 139 Scenars for .25 moa at about 2740 fps, single digit SD. Forgot I ran the 140 Hybrid and Varget too. Good load. Hybrids more $ than the Scenars.
With H4350, powder compression was the norm, making consistent bullet seating difficult. Varget leaves enough room, you can hear powder shaking in the case but bullet seating is dead nuts on. When your reloading 400-500 rds per month to shoot 2 matches each month, you look for ways to cut corners and this is one. I'll glad give up a few fps for spot on bullet seating.
Alan

I too shot 130 VLD's for years before the 140's were developed. Awesome bullet. Won the Utah State Sniper Shoot with it in 2011 shooting the 6.5x47.
