I'll lock up my brakes going past a yard sale if I see an old fashioned gas can.

Wife knows to grab the dash of my truck as we approach. LOL!!

I hate those new fangled things!!!!

Just have to drill a 1/2" hole for the vent (which they give you).

That thing looks awesome - gotta order a couple...

BTW, did ya notice which states forbid sales of this item?

This product is banned for sale in the following states: CA, CT, DC, DE, MA, ME, MD, NH, NJ, NY, OH, PA, and VA.

I'd say they're all mostly on the liberal side of things.... though they missed AZ, CO and IL for some reason....

Just bought a couple of cans today as I had need... then press the plunger down, remove the o ring, remove the assembly and chunk. Then cut off a few inches where the slot is and its almost perfect spout.

Pour slow or wait until I get time to drill hole and pull a valve stem in place with core removed....for vent.

Actually the first one I gutted at mile 1402 on the AlCan highway after it pissed me off when we ran out of gas in the 6 wheeler crossing the highway on the way home... LOL. Took about a minute looking at it to learn how to defeat it.

Looks like North 40 sells these too.

They're a couple $ more than the B&S can I bought but it'll still be cheaper to return the POS I bought and buy a Nospill than spending 10-15 $ rebuilding the POS.

It really gripes me to pay $9 for a small gas can and another $10 for a spout so I can use it.

Please do so. Can't even find a regular gas can anymore.

If you spend over $50 online at N 40 and the order weighs less than 10 lbs, shipping is free. In the end, even if you spent $50 for one friggen' can it would be less frustrating than using the obama can. I might have to try a No Spill.

Or in my case....$10 for a spout....plus my labor......to make a $13 can usable when I can just buy a can that works for about $15.

What with metal cans with a wooden plug that we whittled after we lost the vent cap it truly is a wonder any of us are still alive.

Anything would be better regardless of cost but I'm hoping we can just walk in and buy one Lonny because they're listed on their web site.

Easy to modify with a hacksaw, home made cap, and a thumb screw for a vent.

Who was the hairbrain dogooder that dreamed up those no vent cans?

Curious as to what your gripe is on these.

I use mine to fill pony motors and occasionally lawn mowers. I prefer them to the old gas cans by a long shot.

I buy gas in bulk when the price is right. When prices rise, I fill the pickup from gas cans. Your arms want t to fall off by the time those slow-ass cans empty. I have resorted to using a siphon while the can sit on the truck cap. I collect the fuel points at the grocery store, and turn it into fuel. (And back into cans 30gals at a time)
