Without a more detaiIed image I suspect the gun to be a 303 1899 "A" rifle. Nice bull!

Using a 26" barrelled Savage 1895 "A" rifle that measures 46" overall as reference that bull is closer to 52" unless the barrel were 28 or 30" which they very well may be.

I would say an 1895 with a 26 inch barrel.

We measured a bunch of bulls ear width around 24" normal position. Good way to guess to see if its 50" or legal bull.
