Yesterday morning I started my personal 2017/2018 season in Germany laugh
Got this roe buck next to a busy road where a lot of game is hit by cars

Hope to add a boar next weekend, they've been digging up the fields without paying the tribute I expect mad

Beautiful buck congratulations. One of these days I'll hunt Roe too.

Will Munny: It's a hell of a thing, killing a man. Take away all he's got and all he's ever gonna have.

The Schofield Kid: Yeah, well, I guess they had it coming.

Will Munny: We all got it coming, kid.

Dandy looking pup! What breed? I'd guess drathaar. I'm quite fond of bearded dogs from your part of the planet. I have a 1.5yo pudelpointer that I am trying to not mess up with my lack of training experience.

Yep, Drahthaar is correct.
Great looking fellow of yours! grin

After all it's not much we can teach them - they got all the skills required.
It's basically about getting them to understand what we want them to do laugh

You said a mouthful with those last two sentences! Good luck with the pup! Love to hear how the two of you progress in your training.

Waidmansheill!!! Roebuck hunting is one of my favorite hunting memories. They are fun to hunt.

Due to my ongoing dog training efforts I've hardly managed to go hunting this season so far cry

Last week however I've been to eastern Germany for a couple of great days with two friends of mine.
Hunting, laughing, more hunting, what else could one wish for. laugh

I got my very first red deer and two young boars, my friends took the rest grin

I'd say the current situation is best described as "work in progress" wink

I very well know that feeling. I bought a couple of ducks to expose my dog to them and see if he'd retrieve them. He did retrieve them, but I only got about 2 runs out of each as he killed them as dead as the one in your picture. That's a very good looking dog!!
