Sound nice but still the problem is if you dont have a Photobucket account you can't see them, unless you don't care who gets to see your pics on your classifieds and or posts

Very true, its like what is the point of posting pics if most of the people cant see them?

I would have liked to be in the boardroom when Photo-bucket-of-sh*t decided to fug all their customers. Their greedy azz has been prominent for over a year with all the badgering ads they posted trying to get their customers to go ad free for extra $'s. Truly glad I never gave them a cent! In MHO their integrity and reputation have been forever destroyed.

I think from this you don't know what third party hosting is. That's putting your pictures on Photobucket, then posting a link to them here on 24HrCampfire. That's the only purpose most of us have (or in my case, used to have, 'cause I punted 'em) ever had for a Photobucket account. Are you doing something different with yours? I'm curious, if so, what other function you have for Photobucket other than third party hosting.

[quote=tack]Guys,
I cant understand why Photobucket is charging you; yet when I log in and toggle across the menu bar to "PLANS", click on it, It says my plan is FREE up to 2 GB of storage. It then proceeds to advise me what the rates are for excess storage . and I believe third party hosting.

I think third party hosting pic's are the problem. When you post pic's on campfire(or elsewhere other than PB) viewers can't see pic's unless they pay for third party hosting also. You may be able to see your pic's on campfire though.

just think, every 'substitue' photo that Photobucket shows, constantly reminds everyone who sees it how bad Photobucket turned out.

Can't have a bigger more negative advertising campaign than that!

PAYPAL, sucks and I will never use them again. I recommend you do the same.

Just used imgur for the first time. Works fine from a computer, but the phone app won't give the correct link to post.. I'm one of those hacks that use my phone as a camera.. so now I load it from the phone to the app, but if you want to post it you have to do it from a computer by logging in to your account on imgur website .. not a huge deal but not as convenient either.

Is there an app from anyone that works like photobucket did?

I've tried flickr, tinypic,imageshack and imgur . All work fine, from a laptop.
