I had a friend who was an avid muzzleloader and buckskinner. Some here may have known him. Dave Williams of Riverton Wyoming. He passed on last year.

His son and daughter have asked me to help sell his guns. He had over 200, all of which he made over the last 40 years. Everything from 6 foot 5" tall long rifle, to planes rifles to Brown Bess's and nice fowlers. Most are flintlocks but several are caplocks. there are a few 50-70 and 45-70 trapdoors too.
I also have several locks he had made from parts from the rifle Shop and never got around to using.
If you want to see them let me know and I'll send you pictures.

I make nothing on this deal. I will simply give you the phone number of the Daughter and son, and get out of the way. No money will be sent to me. I am only trying to help his family after his death.

If anyone here reading this wants to see what he left behind, please PM me and I'll show you as well as I can, and put you in touch.

Well the lady that has the guns is now going to be gone for some time. September is when she said she'd get back, So only a few of the guns have been photographed and I may not be able to send out any other gun pics until then, other than about 15 that she already took.
So I'll get those posted as soon as I can. Other than that, I guess we'll just have to wait until she gets beck.

Hello all.
Here is the update as of today;

I had a friend named Dave Williams. He was an avid muzzle loader and did a few rendezvous around the country in the past. Some of you may have known him.

He's now passed on and I have agreed to post an announcement that his daughter has about 14 of his guns for sale. He left about 200 of them, but the daughter says she is only going to sell a few. He made all of them and quality of the builds goes from his early days of building 40 years ago until last year so the parts and the skill level varies a lot from one end to the other.

I have pictures in files of 14 guns that she wants to sell. I am at szihnwyoming.com

Prices run from $600 to $1800, for Hawkens, fowlers, a simple long rifle with about a 5 foot 8 inch long barrel, a Brown Bess made on Rifle Shop parts, a few Jaegers made on Rifle shop parts and so on.

I would post pictures here, but that would come to about 100 pictures, so if you are interested in anything please contact me directly I'll send you my number and we'll talk on the phone first so as not clog up page after page on this site, or e-mailing back and forth. I will forward you her phone number and also send you pictures on regular e-mail. I make nothing on these.

Dave was a friend and I just want to help the family out.

After you see a gun that may be interesting to you I will put you in touch with his daughter, and I just get out of the way. Money and shipping will be between her and you. I touch neither.

Another update. With a retraction.
The guns are going to be given to the family members except for about 14 of them, which are to be sold to pay bills. So when those 14 are gone the rest will not be sold. So my first posts about 200 guns to be sold is not correct.

Szihn... Any idea if this would happen to be "Cayugad" from other forums? His name was Dave and I know he recently passed. Sorry to hear about it to. He knew his stuff.

I didn't know that screen name, but Dave lived in Riverton Wyoming.
Is that him?

I believe this Dave was from Wisconsin. I could be wrong though.

Dave Williams, my friend, moved to Riverton Wyoming right after his discharge from the Army during the Vietnam war. I think he got here in 69 after 4 years in the Army. Where he was before Vietnam I can't say. So if you are speaking of the same man it would have been in the mid 60s.

One more to sell. A left hand 50 cal made by TVM (Matt Avance)

This gun is owned by a customer of mine and he wants something a bit lighter to carry.
It's a 50 cal with a 38" tapered barrel by longhammock. He's hunted with it for several years, but a hurt back and neck is making him want to get something lighter, so he's asked me to make him one.

Anyway, he needs to sell this one to help pay for the next one. A good hunting rifle, he's killed a lot of antelope and I think some deer with it.

Asking $1000 plus shipping (probably about $40)

The money will come to me as a payment for the light gun that's coming up..
So, if anyone is interested please PM me.

Here's the gun:

One of the Hawkens is spoken for now.

I am surprised no one has snapped up the left handed flinter. Or the Brown Bess.
