Looking for some advice and opinions on these. Going to be used in the smokey mountains a couple times a year and here in the saltwater panhandle of Florida. Looking at the models with the rubber sole and felt. Thx!

You might wat to check and be sure Felt sole is acceptable/legal.

I've been using a pair of Korkers for the last two years. I can't remember which model but they have the BOA lacing system that is really awesome.
They are, imho, very good boots and if I should ever need to buy a new pair it will almost certainly be another pair of Korkers.

Forget the felt.

The BOA Lacing system is the bees knees!

I've got two pairs of boots LL Bean Gray Ghost wading boots. One with studs and one without. I got a killer deal on them at the LL Bean Factory Store. If I hadn't, I probably would have selected Korkers with the BOA system and interchangeable soles.

I bought a pair of Korkers on close-out about ten years ago and I've been very happy with them. They're nice light comfy quality wading boots.

One thing I should have mentioned in my earlier post....My Korkers have the quick change soles. They came with felt (which I seldom use) and rubber soles. I purchased studded rubber soles at a later date and almost never use anything else. They really grips the rocks.

My local fly shop turned me onto Simms and said "Here, buy the best, they're awesome" and they were right. They feel the same about Korkers it seems and based on how well they treated me and the Simms recommendation - I'd not look elsewhere.

Same here! Mine do not have the BOA system, my wife's do. Great boots, we never use the felt soles.

Several in my fly fishing group have Korkers and highly recommend them. If they made them in my size I'd buy them. I bought Simms and have been happy with them.
