Curious what the boaters think. I'm getting the vibe there's a silent war raging.

When I used to fish the Columbia for sprinters...there were lots of bank fisherman along the lower part of the river....it was pretty easy to tell how long the guys could cast...the boats all would troll out a little feather ....everyone was always pretty considerate....but there is always that one guy you know... One day some AZ hole with a jet ski took his gear clear out in the trolling land and plunked it down...sorry I didn't change coarse and snagged it with my down rigger...he was hollering and screaming at me to stop. I just kept trolling...he had to cut his gear...what was he thinking? The Salmon run close to the bank anyway...but mostly haven't had a problem..

I have fished with a few guides in drift booats....they do kinda think they own the water as that's there living....kind of like truckers think they oun the road...they have cussed the bank guys some.....actually had 2 guides almost get into a fist fight at the ramp...the guy was pissed at my guide for bringing his client to his River....really? The river he normally fished was flooding...so we chose another that was disable...kinda funny really....

It's pretty simple! Guys on boats hate the bank fishers and the bankers dislike

I have seen some crazy behavior!

We had guys chuck rocks at us from shore while were blasting up river in maybe
2' of water, on our way to a nice salmon/steel head catching spot.

White trash at its finest they were. I think they heard our target practice up river
Because when we blasted by them they were arms in the air waving hands.

As a bank fisher the most annoying is a schmuck fffcu k in his boat that drops anchor
50 yards or closer right in front of you casting.

Boaters think they own the water, imo. Arrogant fffucks.😉

Never had an issue where I am. Even between those wading the river and those fishing from the bank.

Biggest issue I've seen is being 3-8 miles off shore, salmon fishing and some other idiot in a boat decides that they need to troll right through your area.

Lake isn't small and lots of fish. Guess some people just can't handle seeing other people pull fish.
