That is all.

Covejeepsxj: I found a carton today myself at a local pawn/gun shop that had just got a shipment in!
It was $8.50 per box and no discount for the ten box carton I bought - so $85.00 (no tax - no shipping!) got me 500 rounds of the Hornady ultra accurate and rather lethal V-Max ammo.
I looked up the original posters place a few days ago and it was either $11.99 or $12.99 per box, I forget - so not much of a deal there - and its empty of stock now.
Hopefully some more will show at local shops right away?
I think I also told folks here about the carton of Hornady 17 Mach2 my friend bought for me out in Yakima, Washington at a Bi-Mart store last week - so again hopefully more will hit the shelves soon.

The Bi-Mart stores in southern Oregon all appear to have it with no limit.

I haven't found it at a LGS in some time. Well aside from a few dusty boxes of original Hornady stuff that is $25/box.

I always keep my eyes peeled for it!

Sagerat22: Thank you so much for that information - I will call my contacts in Oregon to get up and get out of bed and go get me some of this sporadic, elusive but wonderful ammo!
Thanks again.
Sadly there are NO Bi-Mart stores in Montana (that I am aware of).

I try to buy a brick or 2 whenever I find any, since the supply is, as you say, sporadic, and when it is available it seems to disappear like flash-paper.

No such problem with A2 17HMR 200 packs at $50 per box at every Wal-Mart near me. I don't think that I've ever run across another 17HM2 or 17HMR shooter in Nebraska, while every other guy I seem to run across while I've been afield in western SD, eastern CO, and eastern WY seem to have a 17HMR with a BSA scope in a soft case behind the seat in their pickup.

I stumbled on a brick of 500 and haven't shot but 200 because I was afraid it would never return. Despite Melvins best attempt to convince me otherwise...mines a NULA and LOVED the eley sooo much more than anything else. I hope they decide to make it again.

I still have some Eley and Remington 17HM2 around to hunt with, as they shoot just a little bit better than any Hornady that I've ever shot, but I doubt that Eley will ever make another run of those good shootin' blue tipped 17HM2 rounds.

Thanks. I just ordered 15 boxes. Haven't seen any HM2 forever. Have just 1 little CZ rifle that's a great shooter but hasn't seen the light of day for years.

It's been on the shelves at BiMart and Coastal Farm and Home Supply in Oregon for quite awhile.

If that is the case, then I'd say that 17HM2 shooters in Oregon are better served than most. I haven't seen any 17HM2 ammo on the shelf anywhere that I've traveled for years.

260Remguy: My local pawn/sportshop has recently gotten in ten cartons (of 500 rounds each) of Hornady 17 Mach2 ammo - I bought all I could at $85.00 a carton or $8.50 a box of 50 - no sales tax.
I believe they have three un-opened cartons left and about 8 fifty round boxes on their shelf.
I also travel a LOT and seldom see this ammo on shelves but that appears to be turning around of recent as my friends have been buying it for me when they come across it in Washington, Oregon, Florida and Illinois.
I did get a phone call from a gun shop manager friend of mine out in western Washington last night and he said he looks for the supply to increase, AND, for the price to go down a tad this year.
I don't know.
I do know this my mind is much at ease this spring and summer do to my amassing a BUNCH of 17 Mach2 ammo to feed my 3 (three!) 17 Mach2 Varmint Rifles.
Last summer I was genuinely contemplating selling these useful and accurate Varminters at a loss because of unavailability of ammo!
Come on Hornady keep it flowing.

Now that ammo is available again, I spent some $$ and bought an Anschutz 1502 to add to the 17HM2 herd.

If it's the same one I'm thinking about I was deliberating on making that one mine for a while. Looks to be a very nice rifle
