If you felt that the spring loaded plunger on your 1895 GBL that retained the lever in the closed position needed to be a little more positive, how would you adjust that? I have already installed a new plunger and spring. The lever needs to be retained better in the closed position, I feel like it wants to pop open too easily.

did you buy rifle new or used ?

used someone may have changed lever spring to a lighter one........

If so........all you need to do is put an OEM spring back in........

while you have it apart......buff & clean the plunger.......

you'll need a die decapping pin to remove lever pin.......small bugger.......

Actually, I'm exactly half way towards having it fixed, I have a full length magazine 1895 GBL on the way from Grice for $449, then I'll sell this one. Done. (I wanted the full length tube anyway...)
