You can make the same thing out of a PVC coupling. Some of us are poor.

This picture was taken during early testing and development of the Frankenstud Slingamarig Sling Stud Sling Keeper.....the Gen2 prototype

The unit pictured waz only 1"

Todays units are 1.5" and even more effective...... Gen6

You will no doubt note that my rifle had indeed moved foward "dang ol' gravity" but the Frankenstud Slingamarig Sling Stud held the sling in place.

I bent over at the waist to pick up a penny (an extreme angle test) and even with my arm fully extended my rifle didn't fall because of the Frankenstud.

I just used mine on a caribou hunt. Worked great. The rifle will still slide along the length of the sling, but absolutely will NOT slide off your shoulder.

I still slung my rifle over my head while hiking long distances in the dark, but only to keep the weight of the rifle off my right shoulder...not because it was slipping off my shoulder.

Overall this thing worked great while hiking 10+ miles a day over boggy tundra and climbing (and descending) over 3000 vertical feet daily. I totally think this gizmo is worth the asking price.
